Before You Book
Who takes care of reptiles when you go on vacation? A reptile specialist does, or nobody should. Most pet sitters and boarding facilities will not accept reptiles, and the ones that do often treat a gradient as a suggestion. Wild Watchers provides in home care for reptiles, birds, amphibians, invertebrates, and small exotics throughout the north end of Palm Beach County.
Can you board my snake or lizard? We do not board. We come to your home, which is better for the animal. Transport is stressful, a new enclosure is more stressful, and your gradients are already dialed in. We work in your setup.
How far in advance should I book a holiday? Six to eight weeks. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year fill first. Holiday dates are held with half down.
What does it cost? 55 for one visit a day and 105 for two visits a day, covering your whole collection. Large collections add 25 a day. Major holidays add 50 percent. The meet and greet is free.
What species do you service? Reptiles above all. Lizards, snakes, tortoises and turtles, from a leopard gecko to a black throat monitor. We also cover amphibians, invertebrates, birds, small exotic mammals, and cats. Dogs are considered individually.
Health and Safety
Can you give medications? Oral medications, topical treatments, and some injectables. We go through the specifics at the meet and greet.
Are you insured? Yes. Full liability coverage protecting your animals, your home, and us.
What happens in a veterinary emergency? We keep relationships with exotic veterinarians across Palm Beach County. We will transport for emergency care and keep you informed the whole way.
How do you protect my home? Locked doors, alarms respected, nothing posted to social media while you are away, and discreet vehicles.
Do you handle defensive animals? Yes. Extensive experience with defensive reptiles and stressed exotics. A calm approach and correct handling defuses most situations quickly.
What about aquariums? Feeding, simple water changes, and equipment checks. For complex chemistry, disease, or major system problems we refer you to aquarium specialists.
Policies
What is your cancellation policy? Sitting cancelled inside 48 hours is charged in full. Holiday deposits are not refundable. Fresh Express prefers 24 hours notice and same day cancellations may carry a fee. Emergencies are handled case by case.
How does payment work? Half down holds your dates and the balance is due when service begins. Cash, check, Zelle, or PayPal. Fresh Express subscriptions are invoiced monthly.
Do you require a consultation first? The meet and greet is free and we recommend it for every new client. For complex collections it is required.
Will I get updates? Photos and notes after every visit. More communication on request.
